The Cologne Indelebile perfume by Frederic Malle was born thanks to the collaboration with the prestigious nose Dominique Ropion with the aim of making the most innocent and volatile of perfumes, the cologne, a long-lasting olfactory magnet using musk.
Musk is an ambivalent ingredient. Its different forms communicate contradictory ideas: for many decades, musks, used as common ingredients in household cleaning products, have been understood as synonymous with cleanliness and purity; paradoxically, musks also possess a very lascivious aspect that has been harnessed by perfumers to convey sex appeal.
