Created by perfumer Jordi Fernández, Oud Paradisio belongs to the Collection Studio, the new olfactory chapter with which BDK Parfums brings Haute Parfumerie and fashion into dialogue. Each fragrance in the collection interprets a material, a texture, and an attitude through precious woods and particularly high concentrations. Oud Paradisio reaches a concentration of 44%, transforming into a rich, material, and enveloping presence on the skin.

The opening is surprising precisely because it avoids what one might expect from a grand oud perfume. The green of Italian Bergamot Orpur™ introduces a brilliant and incisive freshness, immediately crossed by the unexpected gourmandise of an iced pineapple cream. Somali Frankincense Orpur™ brings a first smoky nuance, while saffron introduces warmth and spicy tension.

In the heart, the composition changes texture. A precious trio of roses brings together Turkish and Bulgarian rose essences and Turkish rose absolute. The rose thus becomes rich and velvety, capable of creating a magnificent contrast with the fruity luminosity of the opening and slowly paving the way for the darker part of the fragrance.

And it is in the base that Oud Paradisio fully reveals its character. The essence of Thai oud emerges deep, dark, and sensual, meeting cocoa absolute Orpur™. We like Oud Paradisio because it takes one of the most powerful ingredients in perfumery, oud, and manages to show us a completely different side of it. The iced pineapple opening immediately surprises and brings light to the composition; the roses give it elegance and volume, while cocoa and oud progressively build a dark, warm, and almost tactile depth.

Don't expect a discreet oud: the 44% concentration and the quality of the raw materials give it a significant presence. But it is precisely the contrast between this power and the initial luminosity that makes it so interesting. A perfume for those who love to leave a signature, not just a trail.
