The first formula of Couto toothpaste was registered in the city of Porto on June 13, 1932 by Dr. Alberto Ferreira Couto, director of pharmacy.
Created with the aim of limiting the phenomenon of receding gums, it was so successful that even today in Portugal the term “pasta Couto” is synonymous with toothpaste.
Couto was among the first to move from hard and irritating powders to a smooth paste with a delicate glycerin base and this special formulation is particularly effective in preventing problems associated with sensitive gums.
Indicated for daily oral hygiene, Couto toothpaste does not contain fluoride, parabens or ingredients of animal origin and is pleasant for its fresh mint flavor.

Brush your teeth and gums thoroughly with a good quality toothbrush, working the toothpaste into the interdental space. Teeth cleaning should be done, if possible, after each meal, in addition to waking up and before going to bed.In severe cases, when the condition of the gums does not tolerate the use of a toothbrush, Couto Toothpaste can be applied with the tip of the index finger, massaging delicately and leaving it in contact with the mucosa for a few minutes.
