In the 1930s, skiing was an elite sport and St. Moritz was among the most renowned and popular ski resorts among the European aristocracy. Albert Fouquet, creator of Eight & Bob perfumes, was among its regular visitors.
As a guest at his friend Nicolás's Parisian residence, he met a refined tailor from Megève, invited to make him custom-made ski clothing. During the conversation, he heard about the beauty of this location, where Baroness Maurice de Rothschild had recently created a ski resort so exclusive and classy that it would be the envy of those in the Swiss Alps.
Usually attending the social events organized by his friend (parties at Cap Ferret and the Paris castle), Albert accepted Nicolas' invitation to the pre-Christmas dinner in Megève attended by the Parisian jet set. It was during that dinner that he met the most beautiful woman he had ever seen….
The contours of her face, a symbol of perfection and beauty, framed large emerald green eyes and a breathtaking smile. The elegance of her gestures, in her bearing, were enhanced by a long black dress… the jewels she wore, synonymous with refinement. Albert spent the whole evening next to Annicke, they talked for hours near the fireplace: they danced, laughed… and promised to see each other again in the following months.

Her height and her gestures were part of a completely natural elegance, which, together with the long black dress and the jewels worn with discretion, were synonymous with refined taste.
Albert Fouquet was lucky enough to spend the whole evening with Annicke, talking for hours by the fireplace, dancing and laughing, and then parting with the promise to meet again in the following months.
