In 1935 Albert decided to keep the promise made to his childhood friend Ahmed, to visit him and, at the same time, to realize one of his dreams. Albert was fascinated by the ancient Egyptian culture and during the visit to his friend in Egypt he could enjoy the long tours to the great pyramid of Giza, as well as those to the temples of Luxor and Hatshepsut.
For Albert Fouquet, the journey was also an opportunity to reach the birthplace of perfume. He rediscovered those essences that remained in use for millennia. His curiosity led him to discover the extraordinarily aromatic content stored in the jars that were offered to the gods to protect the pharaohs, or that used to satisfy the venerated Cleopatra. The moment Albert entered the entrance of his friend Ahmed's house, the journey was enriched by the impressive garden of the friend's villa that contained dozens of flowers unknown to Albert.
Albert was overwhelmed by new sensations and unable to prolong his already long journey, he organized a new trip four months later with the specific intention of finding a special perfume.
After many weeks of intense work in Ahmed's home, Albert Fouquet selected the final details of the new composition in the family chateau in Paris.
