Imitation was born from a childhood memory of the 70s when Amoauge Creative Director Christopher saw snowflakes falling for the first time in New York... Tension, disorientation, penetrating smells, strong colors and a mix of Latin and Asian cultures are just some of the sensations with a disarming force that Chong tries to describe during a walk in the Lower East Side, in front of the discovery of artistic communities that in that iconic era, lived on the margins of society.

In the men's version, this leathery chypre opens with cedar and a mix of spices, followed by violet, iris and a velvety, vinyl accord, a symbol of the frenetic mood of those years. All crowned by leather and vetiver which, together with patchouli and myrrh, highlight an era of continuous artistic ferment, an era devoted to excess and transgression.
