The latest novelty from the Frederic Malle maison: Synthetic Jungle , a true dreamlike experience between vegetation and dreams.
How did Synthetic Jungle come about?
A luminous journey into a surreal jungle, natural and at the same time hyperrealistic and fantastic. This is the essence of 'Synthetic Jungle' which is an ode to the cult perfumes of the 70s. The fragrance is Anne Flipo's first contribution to the Editions de Parfums Frédéric Malle collection and the latest in a series of perfumes that draw inspiration from nature while using the precision of synthetics.
According to Anne Flipo, the development process of 'Synthetic Jungle' is “the joy of composing without time constraints” in a continuous dialogue with Frédéric Malle where “everything is possible”. It almost seems like entering Henry Rousseau's painting, The Dream.
The olfactory notes of Synthetic Jungle
Anne Flipo has retained the opulent basil of the original composition and combined it with a recomposed bouquet of hyacinth, lily of the valley, natural jasmine and ylang ylang oil.
To modernize and refine, he then added synthetic blackcurrant and styralyl acetate in Synthetic Jungle. Finally, he simplified the Chypre and leather notes, resulting in a cleaner, leaner accord, all topped off with notes of patchouli.
For Flipo, the development process of 'Synthetic Jungle' is “the joy of creating without time constraints” in an ongoing dialogue with Frédéric Malle where “everything is possible”.
The result?
An opulent, evocative, vegetal and floral scent. An unusual and fascinating 'green'. To modernise and refine, Flipo added synthetic blackcurrant and styralyl acetate, effectively placing the bouquet through a shiny and sparkling filter. Chypre and leather notes then stand out in the fragrance, giving a clean and lean accord. Finally, the creator added patchouli, creating a scent that is both contemporary and warm.
