Vittoria Profumi's tip: Use the flat side to apply makeup to larger areas of the face such as the forehead, cheeks and chin. Use the conical part to reach smaller, hard-to-reach areas such as the wings of the nose, corners of the mouth and hairline. How to clean it: put the sponge under a jet of warm water. Once the water is absorbed the sponge will swell. Scrub with a bar of soap or mild detergent. Rinse and squeeze. Leave to dry outdoors.

Normally all liquid or creamy products applied with a dry sponge will be more opaque; vice versa, by moistening it, the products will appear lighter and more natural. The exact opposite will occur when using powder products: when dry, the powders will be more transparent, while if moistened, the coverage and the perception of the texture on the face will appear more evident.
