Christos by Giardini di Toscana is an evocative and suggestive perfume. Arcanic notes mix together to give off a shamanic and sensual sensation, as is the note of amber and incense. Resins and cysts combine with the base of vanilla and rose to give an overall dynamic and deeply ascetic scent.

ABOUT INCENSE NOTES: Incense has often been used for ritual, religious purposes for thousands of years in many different cultures around the world. The smell of incense is often associated with a feeling of sacredness, meditation and tranquility.

ABOUT PATCHOULI NOTES: Patchouli has a rich, earthy, woody scent with notes of musk, and is used to add depth and persistence to fragrances. It was popular in the 1960s and 1970s as part of the hippie movement and flower power culture, and is known for its distinctive aroma which is often described as sensual, exotic and enveloping. Patchouli is a key ingredient in many oriental and amber fragrances.

ABOUT AMBER NOTES: "amber" in perfumery is not the resin extracted from whales, but a term that refers to a combination of aromatic notes that recreate the smell of ambergris or yellow amber, which is a resinous substance produced in the digestive system of whales. Due to environmental concerns and whaling, the natural amber obtained from these creatures has been replaced by synthetic alternatives or fragrance notes that evoke the same sensation. In perfumery it is often described as a deep, warm, sweet, resinous and slightly vanilla note
