The City of Isparta in Turkey is famous for rose oil, obtained from a variety called "Isparta Summer Rose" which grows abundantly in terrace gardens on gentle mountain slopes. The roses are harvested every morning when they are halfway through flowering and their scent is more fragrant...intense...rich and slightly spicy.
Isparta hides, behind the swirls of burnt resins, a woody rose wrapped in an animalic but velvety accord: Oud, red fruits and benzonium.
