Ode to the future


Through a well-balanced "woodland symphony", Opus V evokes how deceptive and transformative knowledge can be. Floral and waxy scents of Iris Absolute, buttery and metallic notes of Orris Concrete pushed by Dry Woods and intoxicating fumes of Rhum paint a binary world of black and white numbers, shards of glass and data that buzz behind metal desks while the raw animality of Oud and Civet and the faint aroma of dried rose and jasmine evoke the scent of humans, who live together with machines.

The perfumer Jacques Cavallier: Son and grandson of perfumers, Jacques Cavallier is an artist who has transformed the landscapes of his hometown of Grasse into an inexhaustible source of inspiration. This has resulted in a prolific body of work characterized by a strong emphasis on natural materials and a generous and emotional approach which earned him the François Coty Award in 2004, crowning
