Distinctive note: Rosa Damascena

Aroma: Damask rose oil offers a typical scent of wet rose petal, with a spicy green facet.

Origin: Damask rose is grown only in Turkey, Morocco and Bulgaria and the harvest takes place between May and June. Known for over 3000 years, this quality of rose originated in India, arriving in the West through Persia and Syria, explaining the origin of the name "Rose of Damascus".

Extraction: LMR damask rose oil is obtained by solvent extraction followed by purification of the rose petals with ethyl alcohol. LMR uses Turkish quality.
