Crimson Rocks from Amouage's Renaissance collection, is a perfume inspired by the majesty of the Al Hajar mountains in Oman, in all their twilight glory.

For this fragrance, Amouage has given birth to an intense rose, a rose that withstands extreme weather, yet is sweet, welcoming just like the mountains it is born on, rooted to stand the test of time. To compose this rose are the red notes of cinnamon and an accord of jujube honey which, together with oak and cedar wood, paint the mountains of Al Hajar in deep crimson shades.

“In creating this fragrance, I was inspired by the crimson color of the Al Hajar rock in the shadow of its mountains illuminated by the last rays of the April sun. I used two different and innovative extracts of Rose, allowing their majestic scents to reveal themselves directly in the top note and then to reveal other facets in the heart of the composition. It is made with cinnamon essential oil, which "smells red" in my mind, but also with a surprising accord of jujube honey, reminiscent of the typicality of the region. Finally, I built a powerful dry down with the intoxicating and engaging notes of oak, enriched with vetiver and red cedar wood. "Domitille Michalon-Bertier (nose creator)
